It was a long one at work today, even though it was just a 4 1/2 hour shift. When I clocked off, the headphones went in and I strolled down Swanston St, I had a track called ‘Smood Dude’ on by an artist that goes by Ed Calle.
I found a place just past Collins called Three Below, little joint, cheap drinks and some crummy music, none the less, my earphones stayed in.
There’s nothing like putting down a pint slowly to some jazz in a cityscape, there’s some feeling that happens that is unexplainable. It’s like, watching everybody walk the streets, seeing the trams go by and trying to figure out what everybody’s doing and where they’re going in that moment; to jazz and heavily sampled 90′s hip hop, it’s a terrific moment, I feel like I’m the only person that’s walking the street and everyone else is just like blah blah yada yada.
(Might I add, this is just a drunken rant.)
